I saw the book, “Dirt Road Washtenaw: Biking the Back Roads” sitting on a table at Mighty Good Coffee Cafe. It called my name. For reals. Turns out the author has left a few copies at the store, and you can buy them from the cashier.
I talked with author Rob Pulcipher about what’s so great about these country roads. He told me, “Even in decay you see your past. It’s almost organic to watch a barn crumbling in the landscape, it’s a part of nature and a part of where you are.”
